- Facial deformity
- Genetic dental disorders such as cleft lip and palate, congenital absence of adult teeth (Hypodontia), disorders of tooth colour, shape and size
- Trauma and dental injuries
- Sleep apnoea
- Jaw joint discomfort
- Toothwear
Treatment of patients with complex or advanced dental diseases:
- Periodontics – treatment of a spectrum of diseases of the gum and bone supporting the teeth not amenable to routine dental treatment
- Endodontics –root canal treatment in teeth with complex root shapes leading to tooth retention and improvement overall health and quality of life
- Prosthodontics – the provision of removable and fixed appliances e.g obturators, dentures, crowns/caps, dental bridges and dental implants for patients who meet locally agreed specialty referral guidelines
Our dental hygienist provides supportive therapy for patients under our care presenting with the following conditions:
mouth cancers, aggressive gum disease, hereditary gum disease, implant patients, cardiac patients , orthodontic patients including cleft lip and palate patients and those with learning difficulties.
