Our gynecological service is led by a dedicated and highly skilled team of consultants and nurses, supported by teams of nursing, support and administrative staff who have expert knowledge in their particular field of gynecological interest.

Emergency gynecology

We aim to see patients within 15 minutes for initial assessment and to be seen by medical staff within no time. You might have to wait to be seen as you will be assessed by the doctor on call, who is also responsible for all emergencies within the maternity wing. If an ultrasound scan is required it is not always possible for this to be arranged on the same day.

Our gynaecological services are delivered through outpatient clinics, inpatient and emergency services at various sites across the town.

Gynecology is the study and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system (uterus, vagina and ovaries).
